FAQ
Answers to what most people ask before ordering a print — shipping, surfaces, sizes, returns. Don’t see your question? Send a note.
How long until I receive my print?
Prints are typically produced within 1–2 business days of your order. Domestic shipping usually adds 2–5 business days, so most US orders arrive within a week or so.
What surfaces are available?
Several professional surfaces are available at checkout:
E-Surface (lustre) — the all-purpose favorite. Subtle texture, accurate color, very forgiving in any lighting.
Metallic — adds depth and a luminous, almost three-dimensional quality. Particularly striking with sunrise/sunset light and rich foliage.
Fine art — matte-finish, museum-feel, archival. Best for galleries, studies, and quiet rooms.
Canvas wraps are also available for larger sizes.
What sizes can I order?
Standard sizes range from 8×12 up to 30×45, with canvas options up to 40×60. If you need something specific, get in touch and I’ll quote it.
Do you offer framing?
Yes — professional framing is available in a range of styles. Frame options appear at checkout. You can also order unframed and frame locally if you have a preferred framer.
Can I return a print?
Each print is custom-made for you, so all sales are final. That said, if your print arrives damaged or has a quality issue, get in touch within 7 days and I’ll make it right at no cost.
Will the print look exactly like what I see on screen?
Very close. The image on the site is a web preview at limited resolution; the actual print is made from the full-resolution master file on professionally calibrated paper.
Screens vary in color and brightness, so there can be subtle differences — but the print is what the photograph was made to be.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently US-only. If you’re outside the US and want a print, please reach out and we’ll work something out.
Are prints signed?
Not by default. If you’d like a signed print, contact me before ordering and I’ll sign it before it ships.
How are prints packaged?
Smaller prints ship flat in protective sleeves and rigid mailers. Larger prints ship rolled in tubes. Canvas wraps and framed pieces ship boxed.
Where were these photos taken?
Most are from the Blue Ridge Mountains and the high Appalachians — North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee. The Parkway, Roan Mountain, Linville Gorge, Mount Mitchell, and quieter places off the maps. Plus the occasional shot from Yosemite, the coast, and other places I’ve followed the light.
Do you sell digital downloads?
No — physical prints only. The full-resolution master files are sent directly to the print lab and aren’t offered as downloads.
Can I license an image for commercial use?
For commercial licensing, editorial use, books, or commissions, get in touch with a description of the project and intended use. I’ll work up a quote.
